Lightning is tightly integrated with Thunderbird, allowing it to easily perform email-related calendaring tasks.

Lightning is an embedding of the Mozilla calendar code specifically designed to run inside Mozilla Thunderbird: 2.0 – 2.0.0. This release is a preliminary, non-production release designed to showcase the work that´s been done and allow contributors to help us test it out. True email / calendar integration is planned, but that is not part of this release.

How to Install in Thunderbird
1. Download and save the file to your hard disk.
2. In Mozilla Thunderbird, open Add-ons from the Tools menu.
3. Click the Install button, and locate/select the file you downloaded and click "OK".
